Before Mountain of Hope came to the area of Honduras known as Quince, infant mortality was high and disease was widespread. In addition to building medical clinic and school classrooms, we addressed the issue of contaminated drinking water by bringing well drilling equipment.
Since then, Mountain of Hope has drilled clean, safe water wells for over 50 villages. The result: the health of the region has dramatically improved. The children grow up healthy and infant mortality is down.
We also sponsor a yearly medical mission to our clinic, which provides critical medical care to the region. Individuals and families walk for miles from surrounding villages to be helped.
